About our 60th
In 2015 we celebrated our 60th year of our charter on September 15th, 1955. The women of our charter lived in Wilmington during a time when our society was undergoing major changes due to segregation laws. They saw and need to serve the people of their city and chartered Epsilon Rho Zeta Chapter with a focus on social and political action. Our event honored and celebrated the many accomplishments over the years with the theme "Legacy of Our Past, as We Embrace Our Future". At the event we celebrated the Legacy of Epsilon Rho Zeta and the 60 years of service and scholarship to our New Castle County Community. The proceeds of the event went to support our Katherine B. Ross Scholarship and leadership programs, and to the Center for African American Heritage of the Delaware Historical Society. Chief Justice of Wilmington Delaware, Alex J. Smalls was our keynote speaker on the past 60 years of History in Wilmington since the desegregation of schools and equal housing act was passed. We thank all of the attendees that made the event a wonderful success.
